AMSN Young Researcher Travel Grant 2026
Calling Early-Career Doctors & Scientists from AMSN Institutions!
The ASEAN Medical Schools Network (AMSN) invites young researchers to apply for the AMSN Young Researcher Travel Grant, awarded in conjunction with the AMSN Symposium Track at iCOMEDH 2026 (3–4 July, Kuala Lumpur).
Who Can Apply?
Early-career medical doctors/scientists/Master’s/PhD students in medical-related fields who meet the following criteria:
- Age not more than 40 years old and
- Affiliated with the Medical school of an AMSN member institution (see AMSN member institute)
Eligible Abstract Topics
Applicants must submit an oral presentation abstract related to:
- ASEAN healthcare, health systems, or regional health priorities, OR
- Medical education within the ASEAN region
What the Grant Covers
Successful applicants will receive:
- USD 200 Travel Grant (hotel + travel, pay-and-claim basis)
- Free registration for the AMSN Symposium Track
- Role as Co-Moderator in one AMSN Symposium session
- Present their study as Oral presentation in the AMSN Symposium track
How to Apply
- Submit your oral presentation abstract to the iCOMEDH website.
- Tick “Apply for AMSN Young Researcher Travel Grant” on the submission form.
- Include a short CV (max 2 pages).

Abstract
Instruction: Abstracts should be written in UK English and limited to 250 words.
Background & objectives: The authors should provide the background of their study and explain the problem or knowledge gap that their research addresses. State the objective of this study.
Methods: Briefly describe the research design, methods, materials, or techniques used in your study.
Results: Summarise the main findings or outcomes of your research. Highlight key data, trends, statistical analyses, or significant observations.
Conclusions: State the main conclusions drawn from your study and discuss their implications. Address how your findings contribute to the existing body of knowledge in your field.
